"Dance Mom"


Natalie began her CrossFit journey in 2012 at Texas Tech University. As a group fitness supervisor for the recreational center, Natalie and the other fitness supervisors developed a place to do this new thing called, “CrossFit!” It started out as a small group trying out the CrossFit Main Site workouts in the regular weight lifting area, then gradually over the years it became RaiderFit. Now known as CrossFit Texas Tech, it holds its own area in the TTU Recreational Center. Natalie graduated from Texas Tech with a Bachelors in Dance and a Bachelors in Exercise Science. From there, Natalie continued her love for university recreational sports at Oklahoma State University as a graduate assistant for group fitness. Natalie taught various types of classes which included TURBOKICK (her favorite), PiYo, and Body Sculpting. While at OSU, Natalie helped to develop a functional fitness area that would allow students to expand their fitness into Olympic Lifting and CrossFit style workouts.

Wanting to continue her CrossFit training and become more competitive, Natalie searched for gyms in Oklahoma City and found Koda CrossFit. Koda seemed to have the best programming and the MOST FUN coaches, so she decided to give it a try. Natalie would go on to become a regular drop-in throughout graduate school, and eventually joined the staff as a coach. “I loved the environment, from the beginning everyone would try to make me feel comfortable and help me be a better athlete.” Upon graduating from OSU, Natalie had the opportunity to transition to full time as Koda CrossFit expanded to a third location. Koda CrossFit Native opened in August of 2015 and Natalie has enjoyed working with Jared, Mai, and Brice. “I can’t imagine a better place to work, all the gym owners/managers push each other to grow, and are so supportive along the way. Getting to hang out at the gym with awesome members all day is a DREAM! I am around many different types of people, and it’s very fulfilling!”

In July of 2018, Natalie became co-owner of Koda CrossFit Native along with Jared and Brice.

When taking Natalie’s classes she hopes you “SMILE A TON and SWEAT A TON!” You can expect to be moving for the entire 60 minutes of class, if not a little more!
